Fundraisers
Throughout the year the Richmond Lions participate in a number of fundraising events. The events are sumarized below. You can click on any of the events to learn more and to view photos.
Right here seems to be as good a place as any to point out that ALL money raised in the fundraisers goes back into the community. Our opperating costs are covered through membership dues and tail twisting.
Sockeye Run
The Sockeye Run is the Richmond Lions club annual car show & shine that enteres it 22nd year in 2012.
Hockey Pool
A relative newcomer to our fundraising efforts the hockey pool has fast become a favourite. Can you predict the top dream team?
Christmas Cakes
For years the Richmond Lions have offered fruit cakes for sale over the Chrismas season. For a very reasonable price you get an excellent fruit cake in an elegant tin, boxed for easy gift wrapping.
Christmas Trees
For more than 35 years the Vancouver South Lions Club has sold Christmas trees. These days the trees are sold at the John Oliver high school on the corner of 41st Ave and Fraser St in Vancouver.
A number of our members were one time members of Vancouver South and still have ties with them. The Richmond Lions have participated in tree sales for many years.
